Images of the Veterans Administration Museum

This helicopter was raised by the efforts of many veterans groups from the Pacific Northwest.

During World War II, the building was the radio control center for the Pearson Airfield, at the south end of the Vancouver Barracks.  In the years afterward it, served many other purposes.  Its last use, before it became a museum was as a storage building.  Because it was a brick building and not inhabited, the internal humidity caused moderate damage to its interior.

This is what the building looked like during rehabilitation in 2010 and 2011
